By downloading or using the SageTech app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
SageTech is a marketplace platform that connects customers seeking technology support services with independent technicians. SageTech does not employ technicians — technicians are independent contractors who set their own rates and schedules.
Booking: When you book a technician, you authorize SageTech to place a hold on your payment method. Your card is NOT charged until the job is completed.
Cancellation: You may cancel a booking before the technician is en route at no charge. Cancellations after a technician is en route may incur a cancellation fee of up to $15.
Payment: Final charges are based on actual time worked at the technician's hourly rate, plus applicable service fees and taxes.
No Fix, No Charge: If a technician cannot resolve your issue (and reports it honestly through the app), you will not be charged for labor.
Ratings: You agree to leave honest ratings based on your actual experience.
Independent Contractor: You are an independent contractor, not an employee of SageTech. You control your own schedule, tools, and methods.
Background Check: All technicians must pass a background check through Checkr before becoming active on the platform.
Commission: SageTech retains a platform commission from each completed job based on your tier level (Bronze: 18%, Silver: 15%, Gold: 12%, Platinum: 10%).
Ratings: Maintaining a high rating is required to advance tiers. Repeated low ratings may result in account review.
Professionalism: You agree to arrive on time, communicate clearly, treat customers with respect, and complete jobs to the best of your ability.
Prohibited: You may not solicit customers to pay outside the platform to avoid SageTech fees.

SageTech is a marketplace platform. We are not responsible for the quality of work performed by technicians, property damage caused by technicians, or service interruptions or app downtime.
Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the last 6 months.
Disputes between customers and technicians should first be reported through the app's "Report an Issue" feature. SageTech will mediate disputes in good faith. For disputes involving SageTech directly, you agree to binding arbitration in North Carolina.
We reserve the right to modify these terms. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of material changes via email or push notification.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina.
